I WON.

30 03 2007

Guess what? I WON (:

A new camera, less money spent on repairing the spoilt one.

I would really love to thank all those who voted for me, and publicised for me.
Thanks for supporting anti-dieting, and I’m sure some of you have already realised how useless dieting is.

Thanks for your views, your votes, and last but not least your unending support.
Without all of your support and help, I wouldn’t have made it.

Rachel: For spreading the word.
Tabitha: For being there when I lost all my senses.
Errol: For being so enthusiastic!
Hansel, Edwin, Julian, Ian, Sean, Glen, and the SJI dudes who helped: THANK YOU SO MUCH (:
ST MARGS: For being the best sch in the world.

and… MY BROTHER. For being so uninterested at first, but helped me anyway (due to my incessant bugging).

The list goes on forever and ever. But most of all, I thank God, for bringing me through this period.

AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY EDWIN.
I’ve thanked you by WINNING, let’s GO CAMMING TOGETHER! (:

The Certified Hair-cutter!

30 03 2007

I woke up today, feeling really excited for school (for I don’t know what reason). And I went to school with a light heart, thinking that it would be a BEAUTIFUL DAY. It was after all a Friday, so TGIF.

Even before the National Anthem was sung, I was called by my Discipline Mistress to go to the canteen. For what? TO EAT?? SIAO!
I was called to go to the canteen to get a haircut by that all hail hairdresser who loves to snip students’ fringes off.
So off I went to the canteen after morning assembly.

My hair was barely covering my face, and it crossed my eyebrows less than 1.5 cm! A measly 1.5 cm! (And in case you’re wondering… Yes, I measured it.)

I HAD TO FIND A WAY OUT.
NO WAY WAS I GOING TO LET HER CUT MY HAIR FOR $5 bucks.

I took out a pair of scissors, and SNIP! Off went my 1.5cm of hair/fringe.
The self-satisfaction and contentment kicked in!

I saved $5, AND I saved my pride.

That’s the end of my hairy story.
At least my hair doesn’t look NOOB-ISH. (:

Nat.
A certified HAIR-CUTTER.

The voting are CLOSED. As of yesterday, 29th March @ 2359 hours.

The rallying of votes were mad, and I have definitely lost a little of my mental stability in the process.
I’m glad to say that I’ve returned to my original self, and that IT IS OVER.

Sources of Happiness.

The last bit got cut off.
Special thanks to Phyllis for all the hehes and hohos and Mrs Lim for the inspiration of chemical reactions.

OMG. MY CHEM TEACHER TEACHES HER AS WELL -.-

Another Great SS Lesson!

27 03 2007
We had Social Studies (SS) lessons today, and contrary to popular belief, SS is NOT THAT BORING AFTER ALL.

Delving into the topic of housing, 4e6’s going to have a ‘mission’ on Friday (probably next week) and we’re going to evaluate the surroundings of Farrer Road estate -the one right beside Farrer Road Market and by the way, they sell really great beancurd- and come to conclusions.

These conclusions would include the proving of hypotheses that we come up with “The HDB meet the changing needs of the society esp. the elderly” to simple ones such as “The surrounding environment in HDB estates allow social cohesion and mingling to take place.

This is what I call learning beyond textbooks.

I better start practicing my Hokkien, WHAT IF I bump into a friendly senior citizen who speaks only Hokkien?

Le jia ba buay? (Have you eaten already?)
Ai lim zhui mai? (Do you want to drink some water?)

I have a sudden craving for these potato ring thingys.

26 03 2007

Oh no, all the work to be rushed.
And the sun is mad, I feel like sleeping.

GO TO EDWIN‘S BLOG. Because it’s nice.

Science Day 2007

23 03 2007

Sec One Science Day today! 4e6 was the main organiser for this day.
Thanks to the planning comm! For all your hard work!

My station was the Cartesian Diver. I did 8 briefings (4 to 5 minutes each), and I wanted to DIE. My voice is nearly gone now… And guess what! There’s choir tomorrow.

First batch of sec ones was HORRENDOUS. I can’t express my dismay any more than giving them the killer look. Apparently, I kill people with my fierce look. Don’t ask me mann, I’ve been looking at myself at the mirror all these years, and I’m still alive.

Three interesting Girls I met today.

1. ATTITUDE GIRL: She stood there like a piece of wood, and was whispering under her breath. Haha, I thought she could have done it more discreetly, so obvious she was scolding Mr Chua F***.

2. ‘CRAZY’ GIRL: She was rather disappointed with her results because she didn’t appear in the High scores board, she threw her bottle aside, she picked up the bucket half-filled with water, and overturned it! SIAOKIA. In the end??? I mopped the floor, and I became the ah-soh/maria of my station.
Oh yes, not only that, she took the high scores board and tore it into pieces.
According to Shandy, “You spoilt your reputation as a Station Master ah!”

Not only that, the people around her were holding her back at her shoulders, and she was just struggling to get to the bottle.

3. RANDOM GIRL: After my station, she started mumbling to herself “I can’t dance, I can’t sing” or SOMETHING like that.

It was just a whole load of drama. I wish I had it all on camera.

Drama crap aside.
I want to thank
DEBORAH, NICOLLE, ZHENLI, CHERYL, EVE, DHANYA, HAZEL, CHRISTINA.
And MR CHUA.

Without them, I would have died.
Special mention to:
Debs and Nicolle, for really helping me to set up everything (:
Mr Chua, for clearing most of my doubts, and ‘handling’ the sec ones.

P.S.
–> The Sec Ones are getting worse every year, of course, there are those exceptional ones (:
–>OH YES. And that ‘Crazy’ girl I mentioned in point number two… She chewed BLU TAC. Right in front of my face. She said, “This can be a second cover for chewing gum!” -pops blu tac into mouth. -.-
–> I LOVE ISLAND CREAMERY.
–> And I LOVE TABITHA (:

21 03 2007

Right now, I pretty much feel like just dying.
I want to run away from everything.

Stop crying Nat.
Where’s the strong side?

I hate that idiot living with me.

Five Week Embryo

21 03 2007

Why does EVERYONE freak when I show them this? Anyway, I thought it was quite relevant to our Bio lessons now.

This photo of an opened oviduct with an ectopic pregnancy features a spectacularly well preserved 10-millimeter (1 cm!) embryo. It is uncommon to see any embryo at all in an ectopic, and for one to be this well preserved (and undisturbed by the prosector’s knife) is quite unusual.

Geog Lesson, Pre-SYF Concert

21 03 2007

I had the coolest Geog lesson yesterday!
Miss Choo let us listen to some songs.

Earthsong” by Michael Jackson
Saltwater” by Julian Lennon

I ALMOST WENT MAD.
MICHAEL JACKSON IS JUST LOVE. And BEST of all. He has my all-time fave name.
MICHAEL (:

You might want to click on the links to just hear/see how it looks like.

Talking about lessons. Chem lessons yesterday AND today.
I can’t believe I was being nice to that teacher of mine. -.-

Pre-SYF Concert today.
Pretty much sucked on choir’s side. I’ve heard way better than today.
The dances ROCKED though. I LOVED Chinese Dance.

Tempo: Not there.
Pitch: OFF.
Feel: Gone.

We fulfiled the basic requirements of any choir participating in SYF can meet:
A choir with a minimum of 24 members.

I’m SICK AND TIRED.
Flu ain’t getting any better.

Toodles.
